By accessing or using Akiru Auth (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Akiru. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time, with notice provided by updating the “Last updated” date.
2. Description of Service
Akiru Auth is an authentication and identity management platform that provides secure sign-in, sign-up, email verification, password reset, and OAuth integration services. The Service is designed for use by developers and end-users accessing Akiru-powered applications.
3. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Immediately notifying us of any unauthorized access at security@akiru.online
- Providing accurate, current, and complete registration information
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or networks
- Engage in automated abuse, credential stuffing, or brute-force attacks
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Use the Service for sending unsolicited communications
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
- Create accounts for the purpose of abuse, fraud, or spam
5. Email & OTP Usage
The Service uses email-based one-time passwords (OTPs) and magic links for authentication. By registering, you consent to receive these transactional authentication emails. These emails expire within 10–15 minutes and are rate-limited to prevent abuse.
You must not share OTP codes or magic links with others. Doing so may compromise your account security, for which Akiru assumes no liability.
6. OAuth & Third-Party Providers
The Service allows sign-in via Google and GitHub. Your use of these providers is subject to their respective Terms of Service and Privacy Policies. Akiru is not responsible for the practices of these third-party providers.
7. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the Service, including software, design, and content, are owned by or licensed to Akiru. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or trade names without prior written permission.
8. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.
9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AKIRU SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we determine, in our sole discretion, that such action is necessary to protect the Service or other users.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts.
